Pokémon is a series consisting of 700+ creatures who are used for battling or as pets.


Pokemon currently consists of 18 types. The original 15 types are: Normal, Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Ghost, Poison, Ice, Ground, Rock, Flying, Bug, Dragon, and Fighting. The Johto region brought in Dark and Steel. Last, but not least, the Kalos region brought Fairy types.


Main RegionsEdit

There are currently six regions in the main games. They are: Kanto, which introduced 15 types. It was also the first region to be discovered. It introduced 151 Pokémon. The second was Johto, which introduced 100, bringing the total up to 251. They introduced 2 new types, Dark and Steel. The third region is Hoenn, which brought up the Pokémon count to 386, with 135 new Pokémon. The fourth is Sinnoh, has 107 new Pokémon, bringing the total to 493. Unova, the 5th generation region, has 156 new Pokémon, which makes the total 649. The current non-spin-off game reigon is Kalos, with 69 new Pokémon (72 if you count Diance, Hoopa, and Volcanion)  Which brings the count up to 718 (721 if you count the legendaries). One new type was introduced, the Fairy type.

Non-Main RegionsEdit

  •  Orre is in the side series games.
  • Fiore is used in Pokémon Ranger
  • Almia is in another Pokémon Ranger.
  • More to come later.
